I've been busy

It's been awhile since I posted, hasn't it? I've been very busy working on my miniatures.
I'm very proud to report that I have built my very first house from a kit and I have completely wired it by myself, another first for me. Here's my new baby

It is going to be a harry potter inspired witch shop, with an office on the upper floor. I'm very excited to see how it turns out!
Lately Ive been very busy making mini potion bottles from resin. A very sticky bussiness, in more ways than one. I have made about 30 in all different colors. Ill post a picture later when I have a chance to lay them all out.

I have also received some very special minis in the mail.
The first is this absolutely gorgeous set of lollipops from EV miniatures, A very talented artist also from Colorado. It will be going in my sweet shop. The vase is a piece from my collection and it is shaped like a dice ( or is it die?). I also received some little potion vials as well. They will be receiving a proud place in my witch's shop.

It just occurs to me that I should explain that the reason my work table looks kinda gross in the background is because its at least 15 years old and used to serve as my fathers craft table before I slowly invaded with my miniatures. He grudgingly gave it in to my care a few years ago and I have made good use of it ever since.

These two dishes of sweets are from halfpintminiatures on Etsy, I highly recommend checking them out because their pieces are absolutely precious. These are a plate of duck cupcakes and bunny cookies. They are going in my sweet shop as well.

This last piece is for my collection, I don't know where I'm going to put it yet but until then it will sit on my worktable for inspiration and to make me crave sweets. I'm addicted to preparation boards and this is the first one i have ever bought. I simply couldn't resist! YUMM!

Hopefully I will post again soon with some of my own pieces that I have made. Expect many harry Potter inspired creations to come!
